Jessica May

Director/Senior Physiotherapist

Hi, I’m Jess and I’m a passionate physiotherapist with over 15 years of experience working in rehabilitation in both hospital and outpatient settings. Throughout my career, I have helped people recover from injury, manage complex health conditions, and regain confidence in their daily lives through personalised, evidence-based rehabilitation.

I have experience working with:

  • Neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Brain Tumours, and Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

  • Late effects of Polio

  • Osteoarthritis and joint replacements, including both pre- and post- operative rehab for knee and hip replacements

  • Shoulder surgeries

  • Spinal surgeries

  • Complex/ multi-trauma injuries

  • Chronic Pain, including chronic back pain

  • Falls prevention and balance training

  • Global or specific reconditioning eg after acute illness or a hospital admission

  • Mobility training

  • Exercising with Cancer

I have a genuine passion for helping people achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. I believe that successful rehabilitation is not only goal-focused and outcome-driven, but also flexible and adaptable to each person’s unique circumstances. Effective rehabilitation involves supporting the whole person, not just the goals they are working towards. My clients are at the centre of every therapy session.

Committed to providing the highest standard of care, I regularly undertakes professional development and I have completed specialised training in LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s Disease, Boxing for Parkinson’s Disease, Pilates, Cancer Rehabilitation and Explain Pain for chronic pain management. I am dedicated to delivering rehabilitation that reflects current best practice and the latest evidence-based approaches.

As a parent of a child who accesses the NDIS, I have personal experience navigating the NDIS and can relate to the experiences, challenges and complexities that many NDIS participants encounter.

I currently work part-time Monday- Thursday.

Please reach out if you have any questions about how I can support you. I look forward to meeting you!

Jess
